Maybe someday my hype train will be rewarded hahaha.Daggerfall is the second game of the Elder Scrolls series. I may have been asking to much from a game so early in development but i cant help to put my hopes high werever a new rpg is anounced. We could have a butchering and skinning skills to calculate if you can extract those materials in good condition from a corpse and then earn more for better materials. Like hunting monsters and selling their parts that are good to craft a variety of goods like armor, weapons and potions. It would be nice if you could be a hunter too. The idea is make you feel like you are working for yourself like a real sell sword but i understand that it isn't everyone cup of tea. Maybe you would be pickin up a job to help a farmer in need or perhaps to exterminate some mobs that are multiplying very fast. Maybe making you feel like you are really "working" would be boring but i didn't mean it like that. I wish it will be something special, but I think it will just be a new Elder Scrolls of some kind (urgs) ) To be honest, I still have no expectations at all at the moment and I've been following the "game" from the beginning.I wonder when we will see and hear more news and actual info about mechanics and footage to judge quality of writing, AI and wits of the devs. So far everything has been very limited as far as information is concerned. It would be nice if you got something different here. I'm also sick of being bored by cliches in games and I've been sick of playing the superhero in games for the last 40 years. You could have a nice monster to chat with, or magical beings who play tricks with you. But also creatures that simply live everywhere in the game world and have something to report and don't just want to be butchered. Quirky, crazy, nice, lovely beings, bad guys, clever guys, brillant minds thieves and thugs and who knows what else. I would also like to get to know many, really many interesting creatures in an RPG. So it's not just those clichéd freaks who have to go left or right only. I would love to be able to be a Django (Franco Nero) or For a fistful of Dollars (Clint Eastwood) character in a game again. And the people who give jobs only do it to satisfy their own interests, their greed or to expand their power. I don't want to experience adventuring in a game as a job. And yet never lose the awe of unknown regions or beings. Fear, however, is suppressed by the constant urge to explore. Who needs heroes anyway? As you say, a mixture of curiosity, enchantment, fear. Perhaps in a world that is already enough of an incentive to explore. A real adventure, a round trip would be fantastic. We need some new experiences, im tired of the same old agenda. Im sure that the majority of the ppl that plays rpgs knows what im talking about. I think we need something that delivers a good mix of fear and exitement wherever you find a new area, cave or dungeon. I want a game that makes you feel like you are not a "might hero", there is already a ton of games like those around. Or perhaps save the money to buy a piece of land where he can build his own home. And them spend his coin on equipment, weapons, food and a place to sleep. Id like to be an adventurer like those mangás we see where the protagonist lives in a city where there is an adventurers guild where he can pick up jobs and quests to earn his living.
